It calculates every cost: ingredients, packaging, labor (based on your zip code's minimum wage), utilities, and overhead. It then compares against local market rates to recommend a price that's both profitable and competitive.
Do I need to format my recipe in a specific way?
Nope. Paste it in any format: cups, grams, ounces, messy handwritten notes, whatever you have. Sweetlytics handles the rest.
How does the Price from Photo feature work?
Upload a clear photo of your baked good and Sweetlytics identifies what it is, estimates the recipe, and generates a full price breakdown. No recipe text needed. You can add optional details (flavors, size, special ingredients) to make it even more accurate. This is a Pro feature.
What is the Receipt Scanner?
Snap or upload your grocery receipt and Sweetlytics reads your real ingredient prices automatically. Instead of relying on estimates, your calculations use what you actually paid, giving you the most accurate cost breakdown possible.
What kinds of items can I price?
Anything you bake. Cookies, cupcakes, bread loaves, macarons, and cake pops. Use the Individual calculator for per-unit items. For whole cakes, pies, and tarts, the Full-Size calculator gives you pricing across multiple sizes automatically.
How does local market pricing work?
We use your zip code (or Canadian postal code) to estimate what premium and standard bakeries in your area charge for similar items. This helps us recommend prices that are both profitable and competitive for your specific market.

What countries does Sweetlytics support?
Sweetlytics currently supports US zip codes and Canadian postal codes only. Full local pricing, labor rate calculations, and market comparisons are available for US and Canadian users. Support for other countries is on the roadmap.
